Set-up Guide
1st step : Set Up Model on Vtube Studio
Device you need :Β
- Mobile phone/ webcam for tracking (Iphone X or above series works the best in performance since it has facial recognition/ faceID)
Apps you need :
- VTubeStudio (on Steam), also called VTS
Tools you need:
- An arm that holds the phone will be useful. Take into account that the camera doing the tracking is the front camera.
- Recommendation: Use the Apple device exclusively for this purpose. Tracking takes so much battery of the device. I recommend charging it while using it and turning it off when you are done.
1. The most important file is the .moc3 file. This is the runtime file of your model and the one that makes everything work. This is not editable which means that you can't commission other riggers to modify it. Take into account that the editable file of your model (which will be saved by rigger in a safe place) is a .cmo3 file.
2. You will find another subfolder named (name).(texture atlas size). This folder contains png files that make your texture atlas. With permission of your artist, you might even modify these ones if you want to change the colors of your model.Β
3. The rest of the files are important too but you canβt really modify them in any way.
Then, set up your model on Vtube Studio:
1. Copy and paste the '(your name) vts' (included in the .ZIP file that I sent to you) to C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\VTube Studio\VTube Studio_Data\StreamingAssets\Live2DModels
2. Open Vtube Studio.
3. Click the big red button on the left of the toolbar.
4. You should see your model appears on the list. If your model doesn't appear, click on the red button a couple of times since this will reload all VTS models. Once you see it, click on it to load your model.
For backgrounds:
Copy and paste the MP4 or PNG file (included in the .ZIP file that I sent to you) to C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\VTube Studio\VTube Studio_Data\StreamingAssets\Backgrounds
For Live2d items and static items:
Copy and paste the '(your name) vts' or PNG (included in the .ZIP file that I sent to you) to C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\VTube Studio\VTube Studio_Data\StreamingAssets\Items
