Set-up Guide

3rd step : Vtube Studio's toolbar

Before tuning up your model, let’s first learn how to properly use Vtube Studio. For these examples, I’ll be using Hiyori, the model of Live2d Inc.

First, let’s see what each button of VTS toolbar is for

1. Open model list and lets you choose which model you will be using. (red button-left)
2. Settings and timer for selfies of the model. (red button-right)
3. Change background of VTtube Studio. This one is important since it lets you choose from a large list of backgrounds for taking selfies or recording videos but the most important one is Color Picker which lets you put a plain color in the background. You will be using this one for streaming or making videos with "Allow transparency” option of OBS / StreamlabsOBS sources (I RECOMMEND USING BLACK FOR THE BACKGROUND WHILE STREAMING, DON’T USE GREEN CHROMA IF YOU DON’T WANT A GREEN LINEART ALL AROUND YOUR MODEL) (green button-left)

4. Allow you to stick PNG assets and Live2d assets to your model. You can even use your own custom PNGs. (green button-middle)

5. Create scenes with PNGs so you don’t have to set them up constantly. (green button-right)
6. Lock model movement while keeping tracking. (yellow button-left)
7. Unlock all PNG and Live2d assets sticked on your model. (yellow button-right)
8. Model configuration (pink button -left).
9. Steam Workshop interaction. (pink button-right)
10. Show VTS log. (orange button)
11. Close toolbar. (x button)
